The YETHOLM VILLAGE CHOIR
was created by Margaret Rustad in 2011 in order to sing at a village function.
The idea proved popular, and now the choir continues and flourishes.
The new conductor will be Marion Scammell who has recently come to live nearby.
She has had years of experience, having taught in Aberdeen and at Gordonstoun, and most recently conducted a large choir in Banff. Geoffrey says he's sure that she will suit the choir very well.
Unfortunately our 2022 Christmas concert in Yetholm Parish Church was cancelled due to bad weather, but a Spring Concert is being held this year at St Andrews Church, Kelso on Sunday 2 April at 5pm.
There are plans to perform as part of The Yetholm Festival in June and then a much overdue performance on December 10th 2023 at Yetholm Parish Church.
We'are a friendly bunch - membership is open to everyone although we need MORE MEN! There are no auditions and it is not necessary to read music (although some do). Practice lines for each part are available by email. We rehearse most Wednesday mornings in The Youth Hall, Town Yetholm from 10.30 - 12.00.

Unfortunately the concert to be held tomorrow has had to be cancelled due to an outbreak of Covid amongst the choir members.
We hope to re-schedule it, however, and will ascertain a new date as soon as possible. It is with great regret that this decision has been reached and we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
